ini 'tong report sa halftime break kang kawat mi suapon. as you all know, do or die game namin un kahapon against PSU. Must win game for us to make the final four. if ever we did it. we will make history for being the first adnu team b to make the semi finals of the inter collegiate tournament.
after the half, we were almost celebrating for ALMOST a job well done. Everyone was contributing. the traps were effective. the defense was unforgiving. the offense were smooth. until the second half resumes..
"At 32 seconds, ateneo down by one 78 - 77.."
that was the last line i heard from the announcer during that game. the second thing i heard was the referee's whistle after i have given my last fouls to stop the clock and hopefully make them miss their free throws. the next thing i heard, the game buzzer indicating the end game. that was the moment wherein i wished basketball would have 5 quarters. but it doesnt.
after my first class a while ago tehre was these group of ladies who asked me when would be our next game. then with me unabble to answer immediately, her friend interrupted and said, "team b bga yan. nevermind kung may kawat pa sinda.." honestly, the somewhat discrimination was not new for me. here, it is only the A who has the out most benefits, the respect and all the credits. but we really do not care. for us, we are just doing our task and try to win games for the school. and yesterday was the biggest game of our lives, the game wherein we can prove to everyone na "bko LANG po kming team b.." yes, it was really a heartbreaking experience. that was not the first time we lost, but that was the most hurting loss we have ever had.
collapse on defense. three of our starters fouled out with three others who are in foul trouble. Our best player suffered from over fatigue and two of uds are still recovering from injuries. worse. we have only 10 players left on the team. BUT, we fought. WE FOUGHT REALLY HARD. WE FOUGHT WITH ALL OUR HEARTS. IF ONLY we have this complte line up. IF ONLY we have stayed healthy during the season. IF ONLY we have a legitimate big man. IF ONLY we have made those crucial shots and crucial stops. IF ONLY we have won..
